The purpose of ETH Amsterdam was to achieve ONE key objective: To recruit strong women developers into the Blu3 ecosystem and create MVPs for potential projects to build on Harmony. Coming out of RIO, Blu3 DAO founders, Amy and Novell were exhausted and burnt out. However, they pushed for Amsterdam because they knew deep down the importance of this objective for Web 3 and its ecosystem.

Blu3 DAO opened the scholarship process for ETH Amsterdam for a total of 24 hours, recruiting 10 open spots for women and non-binary (NB) hackers. More than 50 women/ NB applied, in which 10 spots were filled (less than 20% acceptance rate). The evaluation criteria is a strong application with a focus on women developers and project/product managers. In total, Blu3 DAO brought 10 women hackers to ETH Amsterdam, plus Blu3 Founders Amy and Novell.

Blu3 DAO aims to uplift and mentor women leaders. Daphne Charles and Sunny Satva were RIO scholars who co-founded BlackLeadersDAO, and the baton was passed to them to step up and lead the ETH Amsterdam conference and hack team. They budgeted for and launched the scholarship program, coordinated the accommodation and events, and scouted and put together 3 hacker teams for the ETH Amsterdam Hackathon. Key Hackathon Stats:

• 700 hackers in ETH Amsterdam from 56 countries, Blu3 brought 10 women hackers
• Blu3 represented 3 teams out of a total of 165 teams in ETH Amsterdam
• Won the hackathon (top 13 are all winners) and we were the ONLY all-women team to win, making ETH Amsterdam history!!!!!
• All 3 teams won multiple prizes, including one team won the final. Won a total of 11 prizes and bounties! (>$30K in total)
